NEC 70 Training is an independent educational exam-preparation service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, how it may be shared, and the choices available to you when you use our website or mobile application.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you create or use an account, we may collect information such as your email address, account identifier, authentication information, account role, and subscription or access status. Passwords are handled through our authentication system and are not displayed to other users.
Learning and app activity. We may store answers, diagnostic results, practice and exam-simulation activity, progress, accuracy, favorites, mistakes, study history, and other interactions needed to provide learning and progress features.
Technical and security information. We may process device, browser, app, network, log, diagnostic, and security information needed to operate, protect, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
2. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; provide study, progress, diagnostic, practice, personalization, and subscription features; remember learning history; provide customer support; prevent abuse and fraud; troubleshoot the service; and comply with applicable legal obligations.
3. Advertising
The Free version may display advertising. Advertising providers may process information such as device or advertising identifiers, approximate location derived from technical information, and interactions with ads, subject to their own policies and the permissions and consent requirements that apply to the user. Paid plans are intended to provide an ad-free experience where stated in the plan description.
4. Payments and subscriptions
Purchases may be processed by the applicable app store or payment provider. Those providers process payment information under their own privacy policies. NEC 70 Training may receive and store transaction identifiers, product or plan information, subscription status, purchase status, expiration information, and other records needed to provide paid access. We do not need to store your full payment-card number to provide access to your plan.
5. Service providers and sharing
We may use service providers for hosting, authentication, email, analytics, advertising, payment processing, app distribution, security, and other functions necessary to operate NEC 70 Training. We may disclose information to those providers only as reasonably necessary for those services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or in connection with a business reorganization or transfer subject to applicable law. We do not sell personal information for money.
6. Data retention
We retain account and learning information while it is reasonably needed to provide the service and for legitimate operational, security, legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and applicable requirements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
7. Account and data deletion
You may request deletion of your NEC 70 Training account and associated personal information using our Account Deletion page or by contacting support@nec70training.app. Please send the request from the email associated with your account when possible. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request. Certain records may be retained when required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or transaction-record obligations.
8. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about the processing of your personal information, and to exercise other rights provided by applicable privacy law. You may contact us to make a privacy request. We may verify your identity before responding.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so users should also protect their account credentials and notify support if they believe their account has been compromised.
10. Children's privacy
NEC 70 Training is designed for electrical-code study and professional exam preparation and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information was collected contrary to applicable requirements, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. International use
The service may be accessed from different locations. Information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable legal requirements.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service, legal requirements, or our data practices change. We will update the date at the top of this page when the policy changes and provide additional notice when required.
